Visions in Motion

In this research project, “in motion” is defined as “a phenomenon or activity that changes its position in space over time.” We will search for knowledge and methodologies to find subjects (motifs) that serve as motives for carrying out daily practices. The goal is to examine and expose the process of materializing ideas, taking as a starting point “the balance between intellect and emotion, between social and technical elements (László Moholy-Nagy) 1947.”
The project will build on approximately six years of research activities from the voluntary group, “Critical Cycling,” and will be implemented as an emerging project, “Practical Cycling,” with regular exchanges of ideas between prior and current research participants.
In terms of methodology, while “Critical Cycling” seeks to take a critical look at bicycle riding, we will examine what artistic, social, and academic significance the research practice on “in motion” can present. “Research Practice” here can be developed in various ways, such as: creating graphics, poetry, videos,
